I've been watching for a while and am really pleased to see how supportive of each other you are -- and how creative are everyone's suggestions.

I am in my early thirties, finishing up my dissertation and working full time. I have quite a bit of debt, which I am plugging away at eliminating.

Short term goals: pay off credit card debt, build up emergency savings, obtain a permanent job.

Long term goals: pay off student loans, fully fund retirement, purchase a house.
